3 Ways to Maintain Motivation to WERKout This Summer

Sunny days and warmer temperatures can make it harder to find the motivation to get to the studio, especially for those of us in areas with long, cold winters. Plus, the call of a happy hour patio is sometimes too hard to resist! Whatever the reason is, we know skipping our WERKouts prevents us from being at our best physically and mentally.

So next time the temptation strikes to sleep in or grab drinks with friends, remind yourself why you began your fitness journey in the first place. No matter what your fitness goals are, you can try one of the techniques below if you need a little extra push. We’ll see you on the bike!

Set a New Goal

As we become stronger our goals naturally change. However, sometimes we forget to stop and reevaluate our progress. Take time to check in with yourself and get clear about what you want to work on in the next few months. Setting a new goal just might be what you need to get motivated again.

Work Out in the Morning

The best time to work out is whatever time you will actually get your work out in. That being said, sometimes scheduling a session first thing in the morning makes it easier to stay committed. As the day goes on, more obligations may pop up or your motivation may simply wane.

WERK Together

Community is at the heart of everything we do at SPENGA, so you know we have your back! Bring a friend to a session or find a studio workout buddy to help hold you accountable. Socialize, spend time together and get your work out in -- what could be better?
